The law of nuclear deterrence has uncovered a new meaning in the present Russia – Ukraine conflict – that nuclear capable countries will not fight one another or help weaker countries against a nuclear armed country because of the dangers of sparking off a nuclear war.
This means that those countries that aren’t nuclear armed are open to invasion and plunder with no one coming to their help.
Nuclear nonproliferation instead of being a matter of strength is actually a matter of profound weakness for countries.
